We work on the Künstlerhof on Lake Roofen in the small village of Menz, situated in the middle of the nature reserve between Rheinsberg and Fürstenberg an der Havel. Here the owner has beautifully and lovingly restored a traditional four-sided farm over the years. Our roofed workplace is at the back of the farm with a view over meadows and fields.

In our courses you will create your own sculpture by hand from the world famous white Carrara marble that we brought from Italy. The crystalline structure of this precious stone has always fascinated artists and sculptors. And here you will learn step by step how to work the stone professionally.

We accompany beginners in sculpture from their own idea to the finished sculpture. You will get to know the different tools and the different possibilities of surface treatment from coarse pointing to fine polishing.  In this process you will be individually and competently instructed so that everyone can find his or her own language of form. We support advanced and experienced sculptors in the realisation of demanding projects. We work with hand-forged tools from Italian manufacture.

After work you can go for a swim in the crystal clear water of the natural Roofen lake. The lake can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. You can also go for long walks or hire a bicycle in the village and explore the surroundings.
